Occupational Health Manager

UL’s Occupational Health Manager® (OHM) software solution helps occupational health professionals keep workers safe, healthy and on the job. OHM automates time-consuming administrative and compliance tasks, enhancing clinic efficiency and enabling clinicians to spend more time with their patients.

UL’s OHM software allows organizations to automate clinic workflows, manage case and return-to-work programs, analyze workplace injury and incident information, generate U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) logs, and track compliance with medical surveillance programs.

OHM is a web-based solution that enables organizations to improve the productivity and effectiveness of occupational health programs. UL hosts, maintains and upgrades OHM, eliminating the need for organizations to devote resources to managing and securing their health management software.

OHM connects with UL’s PureSafety, an end-to-end workforce health and safety solution, allowing safety and health professionals to operate from a standardized data set to help ensure accurate reporting and data analysis.

With functionality that includes a Health Portal and Mobile Vaccine App, OHM’s powerful tools allow occupational health, safety and medical professionals to:

  • Streamline occupational health operations
  • Analyze and report data more efficiently
  • Focus on preventing work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Increase efficiency and productivity
  • Improve organizational awareness of critical health and safety issues
  • Enhance management of compliance and medical surveillance programs
  • Optimize case management and return-to-work programs

OHM’s Health Portal allows employees to self-schedule appointments, complete necessary consent forms and questionnaires, and access vaccination and immunization information.

UL’s Mobile Vaccine App integrates with OHM and facilitates the management of large-scale vaccination campaigns. The app synchronizes data to and from OHM, captures and stores electronically signed consent forms and declinations, updates the employee record with vaccination data and exports vaccination data into reports required by authorities such as the Centers for Disease Control.

OHM streamlines the process of tracking and recording employees’ compliance with required screenings and tests. Integrated with Official Disability Guidelines and MD Guidelines, OHM’s case and claims management capabilities allow clinicians to efficiently monitor occupational and nonoccupational cases and reduce the cost of employee absences. OHM’s compliance reporting tools help to determine whether an incident is OSHA recordable, maintain electronic logs and print required documents including OSHA 300, 300A and 301 reports.

OHM’s clinic management tools include revenue/outcome analyses and other functions to help effectively deliver and track clinical services, streamline operations and boost profitability. The health and wellness tools help support safety and preventive care educational efforts throughout the organization.

UL’s in-house health, safety and risk management experts and a dedicated team of service professionals help our customers leverage the power of OHM. We can:

  • Analyze current occupational health and safety practices and recommend ways to establish best practices
  • Introduce OHM as a software solution easily adaptable to a company’s specific workplace occupational health and safety needs
  • Instruct occupational health, safety and medical professionals on maximizing OHM’s effectiveness
  • Provide IT, user and product support

OHM is designed for use by occupational health nurses or clinicians. All elements of the software are configurable based on clinic workflows and protocols. UL’s team of experts works with customer to configure workflows and train end users.
