UL Handset Test Platform provides a stable test environment for handset testing over the SIM card interface by simulating a SIM card or multi-application Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC).
UL Handset Test Platform combines a fully functional UICC or SIM simulator with rapid Java development environment that enables test scripts (car profile; Toolkit; ISO 7816-2, 3 and 4) to be built in minutes. Using the UL Handset Test Platform to simulate a UICC and running tests of various sizes and complexity will allow handset behavior to be verified.
The platform can be configured to simulate USIM, ISIM, SIM, CSIM and RUIM applications. It can be used for testing handsets in a GSM, 3G (UMTS or cdma2000) or LTE network environment when combined with a suitable network simulator or live network. The modules available are:
The UL test tools are designed to be easy to use and have clear interfaces. They give immediate visual feedback on tests. Output from test scripts is displayed as test certificates that can be saved and shared. Any test certificates can be exported to other interested parties using the free Aspects Viewer.
Stand-alone, off-the-shelf UL Handset Test Platforms are also available to efficiently validate a handset against industry specifications.
