Over-the-air (OTA) tests are utilized to accurately predict real-world wireless device reliability, safety and performance capabilities. OTA testing of products that incorporate wireless technology is required by many standards organizations, carriers, vendors and regulatory bodies. Leverage UL's industry and regulatory expertise to reduce compliance complexity, remediate potentially costly design errors and meet demanding global go-to-market schedules.
OTA testing is a requirement for CTIA certification and is also required by many carriers, vendors and standards organizations. UL offers OTA testing services throughout the entire product development cycle to help determine whether products meet applicable standards.
UL is a CTIA Authorized Test Lab (CATL), accredited to perform OTA testing to CTIA specifications.
Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, UL is able to perform total radiated power (TRP), total isotropic sensitivity (TIS), effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) and effective isotropic sensitivity (EIS) measurements.
UL can produce one-, two- and three-dimensional radiation pattern outputs for end products utilizing the following widely used wireless technologies: GSM, GPRS/EGPRS, CDMA 2000, WCDMA, HSPA, GPS/AGPS, Wi-Fi and LTE.
