Authorized Label Supplier Program
UL certification is implicitly trusted by consumers, regulators and businesses around the globe. Ensuring the integrity of the UL Certification Mark is essential to retaining that confidence, and protecting our customers’ investment in their UL certifications.
To gain the authorization required to produce labels featuring the UL Registered Certification Mark, printers must participate in the Authorized Label Supplier Program and comply with all of its requirements.
Facility-based audit and inspections of the processes and procedures used by label printers to print and distribute the UL Registered Certification Mark.
Participation in the Authorized Label Supplier Program enables label printers to provide UL Certification Marks to their customers.
Participants in the program are included in UL’s Online Directory, which includes complete contact information and identifies the types of labels a printer can provide. Thousands of UL certification customers use this directory to identify and source authorized label suppliers. (Note: When used exclusively for marketing or promotional purposes, the UL Registered Certification Mark does not have to be printed by an authorized label supplier.)
Guidance provided to UL authorized printers reduces the risk of producing inaccurate labels that can result in wasted materials and increased operational costs.
